PROJECT TITLE : DEVELOPING SPEED CONTROL

Introduction:
Based on this project, the ultrasonic sensor will use to detect the object either in front or back and try to avoid them for safety purpose. This project purposed to produce safety system for autonomous that has ability to tell and protect the driver from accident. In this autonomous system, it will help drivers to avoid an accident by sensing the surrounding and also significance of the danger, while taking the driver to the safe area. Depend on the situation and timing of the threat. The system will do several tasks that will make the system at ease for example inform the driver as early as possible, warn the driver if there is no driver reaction on the information and try to assist the driver’s car to the safest way on the road. While driving the car, the system will actively assist the driver in order to prevent some unwanted thing to be happened. The system will maintain the speed, keep in the safe distance and also avoid crashes. This car speed alarm can give signal to the driver and also assist the car to the safest condition depend on situation. Therefore, they are able to reduce the severity of accidents. In this system that been developed, if the front vehicle path is free, the car will move at maximum speed and maintain the speed. Once there is another car front it, a red warning LED will turn on and give alarm to the driver. If the driver still has no reaction, the car will automatically decrease the speed and stop the car immediately. The automatic brake is designed to reduce the speed as much as possible in order to reduce the car being collide if accident still happened.

Objective:

  • The main objective of the project is to improve the safety system in the car safety system and also to make some improvement on the previous senior project.
  • The next objective is to equip the mobile robot with sensors that have ability to sense the distance of    another autonomous either in front or back and decide to move faster or slower depend on the situation while give alarm to the driver.  


Scope of the Project:
1. Design and construct the autonomous with four wheeled. 
2. Design an electronic circuit board for the autonomous using PIC, DC motor I/O.
3. Programming the microcontroller using c language.
