Power Supply & Motor Driver

POWER SUPPLY

• Rechargeable Lithium Polymer batteries 9.6V, 700 mAh, were used to power the robots. The advantages of this battery it is rechargeable and can be used for long period.  

MOTOR DRIVER

• The DC motor driver that has been used in this project is a dual full bridge driver, chip L293D.
• The operating supply voltage of chip L293D is up to 36V and the total DC current up to 1A.
• The L293D is an integrated circuit motor driver that can be used for simultaneous, bi-directional control of two small motors.
• The L293D is limited to 600 mA, but in reality can only handle much small currents.
